Things To Do in La Quinta, CA:

The Stagecoach Festival

Each year, music lovers flock to the desert for one of the most popular and highly anticipated events, the Stagecoach Festival. If you plan to join in on the fun, the PGA West Villas in La Quinta are just a short drive from the festival grounds and are the perfect space for relaxation after a day of singing and dancing.

Stagecoach: California’s Country Music Festival

In 2007, the first Stagecoach Festival was held at the Empire Polo Field in Indio. After 2011, the country festival was changed from two to three days as more people attended.

Normally the festival is held in April, but due to the public health concerns about COVID-19, the festival dates in 2020 have been moved from to October. This year some of the top artists performing include Thomas Rett, Carrie Underwood, and Alan Jackson.

Festival Location and Tips on Getting There

Just a couple of hours east of Los Angeles, the Stagecoach Festival is easy to get to from any direction. La Quinta is just off Interstate 10, just past Palm Springs, nestled in-between Palm Desert and Indio on the edge of the San Jacinto Mountains National Monument.

The Stagecoach Festival takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, just a short drive from Palm Springs, and walking distance from PGA West Villas. Since traffic in the area gets a little challenging during the festival, it’s always nice to know that you don’t have to worry about driving, parking, or finding your way.

Those who stay in area hotels must take shuttles or brave the parking situation somehow, which is never ideal. Staying at PGA West Villas gives you the ultimate convenience and peace of mind. Once you’ve checked in, you can park your car, enjoy a cool beverage and a dip in the pool, and wander over to the festival grounds when you’re ready. No more waiting in long lineups to leave, either – just meander back to the villa and bask in the afterglow.

If you are coming from further afield, you’ll be happy to know that the Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is only a 35-minute drive away. The airport offers direct flights from twenty major cities, including Chicago, NYC, Boston, Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Toronto, and many more.
